Merry Lughnasadh

Merry Lughnasadh all! (Loo-nahs-zad). It's the first day of the harvest (in old times) and one of the 8 Major holidays in my religion (Wicca).

Here's hoping everyone has a fruitful year!

    Thank you! This is the first year of my life I actually HAVE a harvest (small community garden plot and some plants on the balcony), so your message comes at a good time. We "harvested" three cherry tomatoes from our little balcony plant and it looks like a couple more have gotten red. Other than that, we've had a couple handfuls of lettuce, some peas, some stunted little zucchini and some parsley. Not bad for some first-timers!

    ceejay...not bad at all! all i can get to grow in my garden is sage, wildflowers and weeds...lots and lots of weeds!
