Stupid Alarm Clock

Had to buy a new alarm clock today. The one I have is only about 4 years old, but for some reason the alarm part doesn't work anymore. The thing I like about it is that it has 2 alarm clocks in it, so when I get up early, I don't have to reset the alarm for anyone who is getting up at a later time.

But Alarm 1 didn't go off on Tuesday and made me late for work. But I figured, "Hey, it has two alarms, I'm still good. No need to buy a new one yet."

Wrong.

Alarm 2 didn't go off today and made me late for work again. Late for work once in a great while is OK; not OK when it's twice in the same week!

So, I hit Tar-jay and got me a new alarm clock with (yup, you know it!) two alarm settings for only $14.99. Let's hope this one lasts a little longer than the old one.

    I use my cell phone alarm... I can set 3! Usually it takes me that many to wake up. hehe.

    Alarm clocks used to last for decades. I've bought two in the past five years, and my current one is beginning to make grinding noises. Not good.

    Take it back if you have a cell phone and use the alarm clock on that. Then use the money (refund) towards the cc debt

    ditto with everyone, cell phone alarm is the way to go, although i rarely use it :-p i have a running watch with alarm, it snoozes for 5 minutes until you go to Alarm Mode to turn off alarm. I have a second clock with alarm in the bathroom, it forces me to get up and turn it off. that thing is loud.

    4 years of service from an alarm is pretty good in this day n age. most of them break within a year

    Hey all...fab idea w/the cell phone alarm! I will def. remember that for next time (which I hope is a loooong time away). Meanwhile, the new alarm clock has some kick-butt features....when you plu it in, it automatically sets the correct time for you!!! How cool is that!!! Plus it has a date display, adn you cna set the alarm once and have it off only on the weekdays without having to reset it every night! OK, I'll admnit it....well worth the $14.99! LOL Big Grin
