Stretched thin

Our money, that is, not me. Smile

We have about $80 in our checking right now. I don't get paid again until the 30th or so. Eeeeek! I am hoping my stimulus check arrives soon, since I still have a few bills to pay for the month. I'm not sure how we got so far off budget this month! We were doing decently until now.

I can transfer a few bucks from our EF to our checking for now to cover those bills, but I like seeing that big number in the EF. Smile

I guess it just depends on the due dates and when our stimulus arrives (we were supposed to get it this past Friday). I do all my bill paying online, so at least I don't have to worry about giving the mail time to send my payments.

I'm just a little concerned, even though we have the EF to cover things. Like I said before, as soon as we get that EF built up, it seems like we need it.

    I'm finding we're rowing a similar boat this month. Smile So good that you have the EF. You'll make it to the 30th.

    Don't feel bad about using your EF. You are not blowing it for a silly reason. Plus, we all know you will get back on track with your budget and rebuild your EF. Keep the faith!

    I second what managing life said. You are doing good. Now, if you were just blowing your EF on silly wants thats another story but you're being responsible. Keep up the good work!

    I would use the EF and then pay the EF back when you get your stimulus. But don't count on that stimulus this week-if you were scheduled to get it last week and didn't get it you may be getting a paper check. We were supposed to get ours direct dep 5/9 and never received it. Come to find out, they are sending us a paper check because of computer glitch (if you used a program to file and had the fees deducted from your refund, you won't get direct deposit-you will get a paper check in June.) Ours should be here 6/27 (a full 6 weeks after I thought we would). It is great you have your EF to fall back on. Good work!
