Anyone Know of a Magazine for Savings?

August 11th, 2007 at 02:08 pm

I'm looking for a magazine that can give me new ideas on how to save money and make more money, and reduce debt, etc. I used to read Budget Living, which I loved, but it is out of print now.

Anyone know of anything like that?

I read money, but I don't really know of a magazine for savings.

I subcribe to Money magazine also, they tend to have a variety of articles. I also get the Bottom Line Personal news letter from one of the residents at my part-time job which gives great tips

Maybe Back Home. It is kind of a homesteading magazine, but its got a lot of interesting ideas on being more self-sufficient with what you have.

For Free Ezines, you could try The Penny Pincher. You can subscribe through www.allthingsfrugal.com. And there's the Dollar Stretcher and Simple Times, both of which you can subscribe to through www.stretcher.com.

I loved Budget Living, too. I'll never forget the Christmas issue, with the tree decorated with Barbie heads... But I digress.

Family Circle has money-saving tip articles once in a while. I second the recommendation of the Dollar Stretcher website. What's really nice is the topical index of old articles. You could spend hours just reading the tips under one topic.

Another one I like is www.betterbudgeting.com. They have a free monthly email newsletter you can subscribe to.

No longer published as a monthly, but The Tightwad Gazette is in book form and has compiled all the advice she gave in the monthly newsletter.
